Metcare of Florida, Inc. is our Provider Services
Network (“PSN”) arm which provides
health care services to approximately 27,000
people with Medicare that have elected to receive
their health care through a Medicare Advantage
health plan offered by Humana, Inc. Metcare of
Florida, Inc. currently owns and operates nine
primary care physician practices and a medical
oncology physician practice; the PSN is also
affiliated with thirty (30) primary care physician
practices, as well as specialist physicians,
ancillary service providers, and hospitals throughout
South and Central Florida.
AdvantageCare
AdvantageCare,
a Medicare Advantage health plan offered by METCARE
Health Plans, Inc., is providing Medicare beneficiaries
with access to comprehensive health care coverage
in Florida. Launched in July 2005, AdvantageCare
currently has more than 3,500 members and is growing.
It is available in the Florida Treasure Coast counties
of Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee and the Gulf
Coast counties of Lee, Charlotte and Sarasota.
