Jose
A. Guethon, MD, MBA
President and Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Guethon has over 15 years of healthcare experience both in clinical and administrative
medicine, and is board-certified in family practice. He earned his undergraduate
degree from the University of Miami, his doctorate in medicine degree from the
University of South Florida College of Medicine, and completed an MBA program
at Tampa College.
After serving as the senior medical director for a large Medicare health maintenance
organization, Dr. Guethon joined the company in 2001 and served as the regional
medical director responsible for the clinical operations of the Daytona market.
During his tenure he was instrumental in the development and implementation of
a proprietary, quality-based, pay for performance program called Partners In
Quality. He also collaborated in the development of successful disease-state
management programs and other quality improvement initiatives.
In January 2005, he was appointed Chief Medical Officer for METCARE Health Plans,
Inc. He brings to the health plan his experience in geriatric medicine, organizational
management, and dynamic leadership. His credentials include successful CMS and
AHCA audits, and NCQA and URAC accreditation.

Hymin
Zucker, MD
Chief Medical Officer - Metcare of Florida, Inc.
Dr. Zucker has over 12 years experience as a practicing internal
medical physician and is board certified in internal medicine
with a master’s degree in Human
Nutrition. Dr. Zucker is a diplomat of the American Academy of Managed Care Physicians
and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physician’s,
Inc.
Dr. Zucker joined the Company in 1999 as its Medical Director after having served
in a similar capacity for a large multi-physician center in West Palm Beach,
Florida since 1994.
Some notable contributions have been his design and implementation of the Partners
In Quality (“PIQ”) Program, a novel doctor-friendly reimbursement
plan based on quality. He continues to be involved in the development of the
Disease Management Program, which is aimed at reducing the costs of high-risk
patients.
Dr. Zucker completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital
in New York and Graduated from New York Medical College.

Sharon Munroe
Vice President
of Human Resources
Ms. Munroe has over 15 years experience in the Human
Resources Management industry with a focus on managed
health care and compliance. She joined Metropolitan
Health Networks, Inc. in 1997 after having served as
the Senior Managing Administrator for a large pain
management facility in North Miami Beach, Florida.
As Vice President of Human Resources, Ms. Munroe currently
oversees all human resources functions including benefits
management and compliance with Federal and State labor
laws, employee retention and ensuring the uniform application
of human resource policies and procedures throughout
the organization.
Ms. Munroe graduated from the College of Arts, Science
and Technology in Jamaica with a Bachelors Degree in
Business Administration and received her Certification
in Human Resources Management from Florida Atlantic
University. She is a member of the Society for Human
Resources Management (SHRM) and continues to be accredited
for HR enrichment seminars such as “High Impact
Communication Skills for Women”, “Projecting
a Positive Professional Image” and “Critical
Thinking and Peak Performance in the Workplace.” Ms.
Munroe is currently being certified as an Employee
Retention Specialist to ensure employee personal growth
and career development.

Maria
A. Xirau
Senior Vice President - Medical Operations - South Florida
Maria Xirau joined Metcare in 1996 as a part of its first Primary Care
acquisition. She has 15 years experience in managed care and over 25 years experience
in healthcare. Throughout her 25 year career, she has worked
on both sides of the spectrum which has allowed her to become successful in developing,
implementing and executing operational initiatives. Her accomplishments include
converting offices from deficit performance levels to lucrative
profit entities. Ms. Xirau has been affiliated with Humana Health
Plans, Inc. in various capacities throughout her managed care career. She is
very involved with the community and a strong patient advocate while serving
on numerous committees and healthcare affiliations such as the Red Cross and
Seniors and Friends . Mrs. Xirau graduated from New York University with a Bachelor
of Science in Business Administration and attended Emory University in Atlanta,
Georgia broadening her Health Care interest.
