Mark Sprangers, MD is Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc.’ medical director for the Central Florida market. In this role, he is the medical liaison for the Volusia and Flagler counties affiliated and wholly-owned medical offices and the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) physician of record for the Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc. wholly-owned medical offices. He is a member of the market leadership team, and has been involved with program development as well as an expanding patient and provider base. As of April 2009, there were more than 40 contracted centers and over 20,000 covered lives.
Mark joined Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc. in 2005 as associate medical director for the Daytona Beach market. Mark moved to Florida after practicing family medicine and serving as the medical director of the department of Occupational Medicine at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center in Red Wing, Minnesota for 27 years. He was on the IMC Board of Directors and the Fairview Finance Committee and chaired the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at the hospital for almost 20 years. He was a member of the Investments Committee, which oversaw the growth of the invested retirement funds from $5 million to $36 million.
Mark has more than 32 years of experience as a licensed physician. He completed his undergraduate degree work at St. Mary's College in Winona, Minnesota and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis. He completed his three-year family practice residency at Hennepin County General Hospital and was board-certified in family medicine. He completed the occupational medicine mini-residency in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Richard Bell, MD is the associate medical director for Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc.’ Central Florida market. In this role, he is Board Certified in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. He has experience as a family physician, an emergency department director and the medical director of a Hemodialysis Unit.
Before joining Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc., Richard practiced hospital-based family medicine at Plainview Area Health System in Plainview, Nebraska. Richard earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and completed his residency in family practice from the University of Nebraska. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Nebraska Medical Association, the American College of Emergency Medicine and the American Association of Physician Specialists.
